Easter Lake

This is a wonderful stop if you love the iconic covered bridges without leaving Des Moines. The paved trails around the lake offer many stops for lush greens and smaller trails off the path for more adventure. There are tall grasses and beautiful water views. Mosquito spray in the summer is a must. Fall colors are gorgeous. This is a large lake with many entrances - I meet at Easter Lake Shelter #1 off of Easter Lake Drive. You can see the red bridge from the parking lot. Address below.
